Programmatic access to the database.

Read-only JSON for cases, defendants, rulings, and search. Pro subscribers get an API token from their dashboard.

The AI Lawsuit Tracker API exposes our case database to Pro subscribers. Read-only, JSON, rate-limited, no scraping required.

What you can query

  • Cases. List, filter by defendant, court, status, or issue. Each record includes caption, docket number, court, judge, filed date, status, last verified date, and primary-source URL.
  • Defendants. Aggregate counts and active/resolved breakdowns for the 23 AI companies we track.
  • Rulings. Notable orders, motions, summary judgments, and settlements with verbatim holding excerpts and date.
  • Search. Full-text search across captions, summaries, and dictionaries (companies and issues).

Auth & limits

API access is included with the Pro plan. Authenticate with a bearer token issued from your Pro dashboard. Standard rate limit: 60 requests/minute, 5,000 requests/day. Higher limits available for licensing customers.

Status

The public API endpoints are stable. Schema changes are announced in advance via the email address on your Pro account. There is no breaking-change schedule; deprecations are flagged with at least 30 days notice.

How to get access

Subscribe to Pro, then generate an API token from your dashboard. Documentation and example requests are provided in the dashboard itself.

Licensing for bulk use

If you need higher rate limits, full database mirrors, historical exports, or commercial redistribution rights, email editor@ailawsuittracker.com. We license selectively to academic researchers, accredited media, and enterprise legal teams.
